Custom CNC work, built around your exact project.
Modifications to existing designs. Custom 3D modeling from scratch. Artistic panels. Furniture and product design. If you can describe it, there's a good chance I can build it.
What I can build for you
Custom work covers a wide range. Here's where most projects fall.
Modifications
Modifications to existing designs
If you've found a BFW design that's almost right but needs adjusting, this is the simplest path. Common modifications:
- Resize to fit your machine bed or stock material
- Adjust depth, layer count, or thickness
- Change pattern density or scale
- Adapt for a different software or file format
- Convert between parametric, multilayer, and 3D carving versions
Many modifications take under an hour. Some take a few days. Either way, you get the file ready to run on your setup.
Custom 3D modeling
Custom 3D modeling from scratch
When you have an idea but no file, this is what you need. I work from photos, sketches, references, or a written brief, and build a clean, production-ready CNC file from zero.
Past examples:
- Jennie's speaker panel: front grille designed from her concept, modeled to her enclosure dimensions
- John's marble waterdrops: organic flow pattern designed for marble CNC carving on industrial machines
Pricing scales with scope. Simple single-surface designs start at $200. Detailed multi-element or production-scale work runs higher.
Artistic & interior installations
Artistic and site-specific projects
Larger work that has to fit a real space, with real constraints. Walls that aren't flat. Surfaces that turn corners. Multi-panel installations where the design has to flow continuously across joins.
Past examples:
- Traverse City Philharmonic Centre: wall installation flowing across a 90-degree exterior corner, public building in Michigan, USA
- Three-storey staircase panel: continuous design across stepped wall levels in a private home
- Cabinet door panels adapted from existing BFW designs, with corner radius modeling
This category requires more upfront discussion. I'll usually want photos, measurements, and conversations about installation method before quoting.
Furniture and product design
Furniture and product design
Less commonly known: I spent years designing chairs and tables in the factory I worked in. The catalogue I helped build includes over 400 models. I can do the same for your project.
Past examples:
- Chair and table designs developed from client sketches and photographs
- Mould design for bent laminated wood
If you're a furniture maker, designer, or workshop looking for original CNC-ready furniture or product designs, this is the path.
How custom work runs
1. You send the request
Fill in the form below with what you need, what you're working with, and any references. The more specific, the faster I can quote.
2. I respond within 24 hours
A response in 24 hours doesn't mean a quote in 24 hours. For simple work, it's both. For larger projects, the first response will usually ask follow-up questions: dimensions, machine, material, software, deadline.
3. We agree on scope and price
Once I understand the project, you get a fixed quote and timeline. No moving targets, no surprise charges later. If the scope changes mid-project, we agree on the change before any work continues.
4. I build it
You'll see progress as it happens. For modeling work, that means renders and previews. For physical work, photos at key stages. If something needs adjusting, we adjust before the next stage starts.
5. You get the deliverables
For files: clean, organized, production-ready, with notes where they matter. For physical work: packed, shipped, tracked, delivered. I'm available after delivery for setup questions, modifications, or follow-up work.
Traverse City Philharmonic Centre. Wall installation, public building, Michigan, USA
Parametric panel for showcase office. Custom design followed by physical production, US delivery
Cabinet door panels with curved corner. Modified existing BFW design, custom physical production

Why this is different from sending an email to a random CNC shop
Most "custom CNC" services online fall into two categories: people who can model but can't run production machines, and people who can run machines but didn't make the file you're asking them to modify.
I've spent years on both sides. Programming industrial CNC machines in a furniture factory: Hapfo, Homag, Bacci, Pade 5-axis. Designing chairs, tables, moulds, technical drawings. And, in parallel, building hundreds of original CNC designs and delivering custom modeling work to clients around the world
When you send me a project, you're not getting a guess. You're getting an answer from someone who's actually solved similar problems on real machines, in real materials, for real clients.
The work has been used in private homes, public buildings, commercial showrooms, marble fabrication shops, furniture production, and dental and medical offices. Some of it sits behind sponsor names in a philharmonic centre. Some of it sits in a dentist's reception room. Either way, it runs.
