Digital Files
What file formats do you sell?
2D files are available in DXF, SVG, EPS, AI, and PDF. 3D files are available in STL and OBJ. Each product page lists exactly what is included in that download.
What software do I need to open the files?
DXF, SVG, EPS, and AI files open in most CAD/CAM and design software. PDF files work as technical drawings or cutting references. STL and OBJ files open in most 3D software and slicer applications. If you are not sure whether a format works with your setup, message me before you buy.
Can you adapt a file to my machine, material, or size?
Yes. After purchase, send me a message with your machine type, cutting area, material, and what you need changed. Most adaptations are straightforward. I will let you know if there is any extra cost before I start.
Can I use the files for commercial work?
Yes. If you want to cut pieces and sell the physical products, go ahead. The files are built for makers who run real projects, and that includes people running a business.
The one restriction: the digital file itself cannot be resold, redistributed, or used as a base to create other digital designs for sale. You buy the file to make things with it, not to sell the file or build on it digitally.
Can I share or resell the file?
No. The file is licensed to you for your own use. Sharing, redistributing, or reselling the original file is not permitted. Using it to create derivative digital files for resale is also not permitted.
What if the file does not run correctly on my machine?
Message me. Digital files are non-refundable as a category, but if there is a genuine technical issue with the file itself, I will fix it. If you are unsure whether a file suits your setup before buying, ask first.
Do you offer refunds on digital downloads?
Digital files are non-refundable once downloaded. If you have a technical problem with the file, contact me and I will sort it out. If you are not sure a file is right for your setup, message me before you buy and I will give you a straight answer.
Custom Work
What counts as custom work?
Modeling a part or piece from scratch, adapting an existing file beyond standard size and material changes, generating toolpaths for your specific machine setup, and consulting on a production problem. If you are not sure whether your project fits, use the form and describe what you need.
How much does custom work cost?
It depends on the scope. Simple adaptations start low. Full 3D modeling or multi-part projects go higher. You get a clear quote before any work starts.
How long does it take?
It depends on scope. Some changes turn around within the day. Larger jobs depend on complexity and current workload. I give you a realistic timeline with the quote.
What do you need from me to get started?
Fill in the Custom Work form with as much detail as you can: what you want to make, your machine and cutting area, material, size, and any reference images or sketches. The more I have upfront, the faster I can quote accurately.
Can you work from my existing files or sketches?
Yes. I can work from your files, drawings, photos, or rough sketches. Describe what you have in the form and I will confirm compatibility.
BFW Made
What is BFW Made?
BFW Made is the physical piece side of BFW. If you want the finished piece rather than the file, I produce it on demand through a small network of BFW Verified Makers. Nothing is held in stock. Every piece is made when you order it.
Where are pieces produced?
By me or through BFW Verified Makers in the US and Europe. Your order goes to the location closest to you to keep shipping costs and lead times reasonable.
How do I order a physical piece?
Use the Order a Piece form. Describe the piece, your material and finish preference, delivery location, timeline, and budget range. I will review it and send a quote.
How long does production take?
It varies by piece and current workload. I include a production and delivery estimate with your quote before you commit to anything.
What materials are available?
MDF, plywood, and hardwood. I will expand the list as production experience grows across the network. Describe your preference in the form and I will confirm what is available for your project.
Creator Lab
What is Creator Lab?
Creator Lab is the BFW community on Skool. $5 a month. It includes a monthly File Credit, direct access to me for CNC questions, a community of machine owners, and a pathway to the BFW Verified Maker network for members who qualify. See the Creator Lab page for the full breakdown.
Who is it for?
Anyone who owns a CNC router, laser cutter, 3D printer, or similar machine. Skill level is not the filter. Hobbyist to pro, side project to production shop.
How does the File Credit work?
Every month you get $5 credit toward a BFW Store order. On single files it applies at full value. On bundles it applies at $2.50. Minimum order is $15. Credit expires after 30 days and does not accumulate.
Is BFW Academy included?
No. Academy courses are sold separately. Members get early access and member-only pricing when courses open.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No contract, no minimum term. Cancel inside Skool and your next billing stops.
General
Where are you based?
I am based in Bulgaria. Physical production for BFW Made runs through BFW Verified Makers in the US and Europe.
Do you work with beginners?
Yes. A significant part of my client history is people who are new to CNC, new to a machine, or new to a specific software. If you are willing to describe what you need, I will work with you.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Additional options may be available depending on your location.
